◉ I am Certified Legal Translator for English into Portuguese and Portuguese into English (CTJ accreditation #2693 granted by APT, as you can check here; additional proof of certification can be made available via email request)

◉ I am on the official list of approved/authorized translators for the:

⋙ Tribunal da Relação de Lisboa (Court of Appeal, Lisbon, Portugal) 

⋙  U.S. Embassy & Consulate in Portugal 

⋙  Embassy of Portugal to the United States located in Washington, D.C.

◉I am an independent contractor for the Court of Justice of the European Union and a subcontractor for the DGT European Commission, providing for these EU institutions legal translation and post-editing services from English, Italian and Spanish into Portuguese, and from Portuguese into English. I am also an external provider of language services under negotiated procedure for the Translation Centre for the Bodies of the EU

◉ I have an academic background in Law and Translation, namely, I hold a LL.B. in Law, a LL.M. in International Legal Sciences and a PgC in Translation

 

◉ I also have a C2 Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (accreditation no. 500/2429/2), as you can verify here (verification no. B8948197)

◉I have been working as a legal translator since 2015, therefore I have vast experience in this industry. Prior to that date, my first professional experience was as a trainee at the Law Library of the Lisbon School of Law, where I created a number of digital projects, considered at the time pioneer in Portugal, such as the Library's Digital Magazine and dozens of websites dedicated to Law books that were meant to enhance the Library's digital presence and promote online interaction with the relevant public in a more dinamic way (see example1 and example2). The project featured a total of 42 websites and 45 Portuguese and foreign novelties authored by various personalities whose contribution has shaped the teaching and practice of Law. As a final project, I designed and organized, at the end of my traineeship, the 1914-2014 Exhibition to mark the Library's 100 years in existence
